Welcome to the Seasider

Run by the Taieri Gorge Railway, The Seasider train is Dunedin's scenic coastal tourist train operating from the historic Railway Station in Dunedin New Zealand

Departing selected Tuesdays and Saturdays, it takes you on a coastal journey from Dunedin to Palmerston and return. The seasider travels high on the cliffs of coastal Otago giving you stunning views of the sea and is one of the "must do" train trips in New Zealand. Take in picturesque West Harbout suburbs, Otago Harbour rail causeway, Mihiwaka Tunnel and spectacular cliff-top coastal scenery before reaching Palmerston, a busy highway town. Visit the musuem, famous pie shop, cafes and shops.

Railroad to Gold Tour: From Palmerston, travel by coach to Macraes Gold Mine and Pukerangi, and by train via Taieri River Gorge to Dunedin returning at 6:30pm
